Welcome to everyone coming over from Call Her Happy! I’m so excited to be hosting 5 Fav’s for Jenna again. I can’t wait to see what your Favorites are this week!
I’ve been mixing up my housekeeping tools a little bit lately and have found a few new favorites that have made my life a little bit easier. If you want to learn more about how I keep things tidy, you’ll want to check out my ebook coming in May.
1. Norwex Mop

The Norwex mop has been on my wish list for a while now and my Mom just got me one (yay!). It’s pretty awesome, especially with toddlers and babies around who like to “help”. They even have a child’s size one so they can help you (and we all know I think that’s important).
There are two mop heads, one is the dry mop to pick up dirt and crumbs and the other is microfiber. I’ve written a little bit about Norwex before, but it’s basically a antibacterial and antiviral material. No cleaners are necessary, just plain old water. When it gets dirty, it just goes in the washer.
2. Homemade Lotion Recipe
Cleaning without gloves dries out my hands, so I consider this lotion a housekeeping helper. I used this recipe and it’s by far my favorite. It was super easy to make and keeps my skin nice and moisturized.
In case you were wondering, I added the optional Shea butter and used Lavender essential oil.

I’ve pretty much replaced all bleach with Oxygen bleach. I use this stuff for cloth diapers, laundry and even to help with the ring around the inside of the toilet bowl from our hard water. I got mine here and if you sign up with my referral link, you’ll get $10 off your next purchase.
4. Essential Oils
I’ve really started using a lot of essential oils around the house lately. I spray a little peppermint by the doors and windowsills to help keep ants and spiders out.
I used Eucalyptus to help with a pantry moth infestation in our pantry (so far, so good). And I’ve used Lemon or OnGuard to help with that musty smell clothes get when you leave them in the washer too long (I’m not the only one to leave stuff in there just a night too long, right?).
5. Spray Bottles

I’ve bought a lot of spray bottles over the years to make my own cleaners and for various other things around the house. But they all broke soon after I bought them. And then I found these. They have glass ones, which is important if you’re going to be using essential oils in them since they can break down plastic.
Do you have anything that helps make your housekeeping chores a little easier?
