I really want to thank those of you who used my referral link. Our budget doesn’t have much wiggle room, so it really makes my day when I get a credit or two and can buy something for my capsule wardrobe.
It’s been a stressful few weeks around here, so I decided to cash in my credits and order a Stitch Fix to fill in some Fall/Winter wardrobe holes.
I asked for a jacket, a fall/winter dress that I could wear with boots, medium wash skinny jeans, comfortable shoes that I could run around in with the kids and and a plaid shirt, preferably in a green.
Of course, I requested that everything be machine washable and nursing friendly.
I changed my style to Classic and Preppy (I had it set as Classic and Casual before) and updated my Stitch Fix Pinterest board (a big help in making sure your stylist knows what you like).
The fix was scheduled to arrive on Friday and it came a whole day early. I was super excited and then got even more excited when I opened the box.
These are totally my colors and I couldn’t help thinking that my stylist totally nailed it this time.
41 Hawthorn Renesme Geo Cube Jersey Faux Wrap Dress
This was a win the moment I opened the box. I love, love, love this purplish maroon color. The print isn’t too crazy, I can nurse in it and it doesn’t wrinkle.
I actually got another dress like this in another fix, different colors and pattern though. I wear it all the time and LOVE it.
My stylist suggested wearing it with boots. I’m not sure, what do you think?
Verdict: Definitely Keep
Mavi Freida Skinny Jeans
I didn’t really get a good solo picture of the jeans, but I’m wearing them in the next three pictures.
The fit is perfect, all the way down to the length. The stretch almost feels like leggings, so they’re super comfortable. I asked for medium wash skinny jeans, which she claims these are. I’m seeing more of a dark wash.
Side note: If you get nothing else from Stitch Fix, ask for pants. It’s like magic, they fit every.single.time.And let’s just be honest here, dresses and jeans are the two things I struggle to find the most.
Verdict: Undecided but leaning towards keep.
Skies are Blue Tanrah Double Breasted Trench Jacket
Boots: Naturalizer in Banana Bread (Similar)
I asked for a fall jacket and asked to be surprised. I wanted to like this one so much, however the fit was crazy wide on me.
I’m loving that green with my boots and dark wash jeans. Just something to tuck in the back of my mind next time I go shopping.
I wasn’t joking about it being too wide, like almost wrap around my body twice wide…
Verdict: For sure going back.
Skies are Blue Elliott Split Neck Top
I told her I was really loving navy blue and would love to try something plaid.
I really like this shirt, it’s soft and comfortable. The length is cute and it’s loose enough that I can nurse in it. The question of keeping it is more due to budget than the shirt itself. Do I like it more than the other things?
Verdict: Undecided but would keep if $$ weren’t an issue.
Superga Cotu Classic Lace Up Sneakers
I asked for a pair of shoes that I could wear to the park or grocery shopping with the kids. I told her I needed something that was easy to walk in.
I was pretty excited when I saw these in the box, I love the color. The heavy weight of these shoes surprised me when I picked them up, but they feel sturdy so I don’t mind. The 8 1/2 is a bit big on me, so if I were to keep these, I would have to exchange for a smaller size.
My stylist suggested I pair the jeans, the top and sneakers together. I rolled up the skinny jeans a bit and I have to say, I’m kind of digging it.

What do you think? Which ones would you keep? I’ve got three days before I have to return what I decide not to keep.
