I don’t usually talk about makeup on here, mostly because I find what works and stick with it. And when I do need something, I tend to just head over to the Clinique counter and ask them what colors I should use.
As for natural stuff, you know I’m all about finding things that rate well on the Skin Deep Database.
You’ll notice that I’m still using Clinique which doesn’t always have the best rating, but it’s also not the worst. It’s fragrance free and easy on my sensitive skin so it’s been a go to for a while. But I’ll probably be switching most of my makeup over to Beauty Counter as I run out.
One of my friends started selling Beauty Counter and I’m in love with everything I’ve tried so far. It’s kind of pricey, but it’s all 100% safe. This concealer has been going strong for a while now, so it’s been worth the price. And it hides dark circles and blemishes like a champ.
I love, love this stuff. I usually only put it on if I’m dealing with a breakout. But I love how it doesn’t look like I’ve caked on makeup if I need it.
I got this blush from Beauty Counter and I have the Tawny/Whisper color. I love how natural it looks and it’s 100% safe.
4. Eye Shadow
I use Ballets Flat from Clinique. I’ve found this brand stays on better than a lot of the other ones I’ve tried and I love the basic neutral color. I can always add a darker shade to dress it up for a special event.
I’ll probably make the switch to one of the Beauty Counter eye shadow pallets once I run out.
5. Eye Liner
Again, I’ve tried a few different brands. Although the drugstore brands work alright, I’m in love with this color called Violet in the Quickliner collection.
Since you’re supposed to replace your mascara every month or so, I don’t buy the good stuff. It’s the one thing I’ve haven’t switched over to something more natural.
I’ve been loving the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom in black. My eyelashes still feel flexible, which is nice since my eye lashes are pretty long and tend to brush up against my sunglasses.
7. Lip Stick
I found this great neutral lip stick from Beauty Counter. It was only part of a Christmas set, but they’ve got some other great colors.
Do you have any favorite makeup brands? Do you enjoy spending time on your makeup? Or do you just like to find what works and stick with it?
