Have you watched The True Cost on Netflix yet? The documentary talking about how bad fast fashion is for just about everyone. If you haven’t it’s quite eye opening.
If you did watch it, did you start kind of freaking out because you don’t know where to shop now? Because all the places you have been shopping have been fast fashion places (Old Navy, GAP, etc…)?
Suddenly I’m aware that there are people in the world not getting paid a fair wage and are working in crazy bad conditions.
I follow a couple of other bloggers and I always appreciate when they highlight a new company that takes care of it’s employees/workers farther up chain. So I thought I’d share this new one I just found.
I recently came across this company called PACT ORGANIC. Everything they make is Certified Fair Trade and made with Organic Cotton.
Their dedication to Organic Cotton means a healthier living for the farmers, the workers and you the consumer who wear these items. Not to mention better working conditions and wages for the people who work so hard to produce the cotton and sew the clothing.
PACT ORGANIC sent me a few things to try out and let you know my honest thoughts. And honest thoughts I’ll give you (as always).
So much of this would be AMAZING for postpartum. It’s perfectly stretchy, super soft and washes really well (no pilling, getting stretched out).
As I’ve mentioned before, I always wear a layer under my regular top for breastfeeding and I love this cami for that. It keeps its shape really well, which is important if you’re pulling the neckline down to nurse.
The leggings are oh, so comfortable. However, I probably wouldn’t leave the house without a tunic on because they’re just a tad bit thin for my taste. With that aside, I’d say these would be a great staple to have on hand.
But I think my favorite item that I’ve tried so far has been the underwear. I spared you the pictures (you’re welcome). I got a two pack of these and I can honestly say they’re some of my favorites ever. They’re breathable, soft, the elastic is high quality and they keep their shape.
Jordan got to try these and he’s loving his just as much as I love my mine. Not gonna lie, we’re probably going to be buying some more. We’re giving these an A+ for sure.
PACT also has socks that are not too thick, but still sturdy. And lounge bras that would be perfect for right after you have a baby and your milk comes in (you know what I’m talking about, right?).
PACT ORGANIC is offering Efficient Momma readers 25% off their next order with coupon code: Efficient25 valid till 8/31/2017.
